Congratulations, Haymaker. It's a good feeling to get rain after a long dry spell. I love rain. I have said "sometime before I die, I hope I get to live somewhere that I could say, I wish it would stop raining." Haven't ever lived there yet.

Big Thunder boomers rolled thru here about 5 am this mornin and rained big time. Aint been down to the rain guage this mornin yet to see how much, waitin to hear now if we are or aren't barrel racin this mornin. Lil Lilly ridin at the cowboy church, if it aint too wet. But if it is.....that's fine by me, we needed the rain. Radar shows more on the way looks like so they'll probably call it off.

Hi M_R,
No.. Not compared to the last three years... They were extremely dry. WE have gotten some good moisture this spring. I just don't want it to quit... April and May have been cold. Nothing compared to you, but we do have calves with frozen ears born in April and May... Last couple of days have been cloudy. Roscoe is spraying his wheat for weeds. Wheat is really looking good, now if it don't freeze real hard we'll be good to go..
How about you??

Thanks everyone for the concern

It was great we got about an inch of rain last night and this morning total
maybe we will get some more this weekend or the coming week
Think I will make a mud puddle for Lil Roper to play in so it will take him and mama longer with the water hose and him running around naked screaming

the 1/4 inche we got here at the house yesterday mornin, was 6/10 out where the cows are. bout 2 miles as the crow flies from here. Didn't think yesterday to check the rain guage out there, normally Mr Lilly's daddy done dumped the guage by the time I think to check it. When I went out this mornin he hadn't........so got more rain where it was needed.

Yeap these kinda thunderstorms are sure welcome but make it hard to plan on doin any cuttin cuz there's not enuff days between showers to get hay dried and baled. But that's ok.......we'll get it cut even if it means havin it get wet. Better than not havin rain at all.
