This week, our 16 year old son, Al, finished up his 11th grade work in school, and got his driver's license. He is one happy kiddo!

Here he is, just getting ready to go take the driving test with our Under-Sheriff, in my dad's little Nissan, was Grandma's before that.....

This afternoon, he gave Sweet Pea's calf it's second dose of A180. He's using this experience as part of his 4-H Vet Science III project..........

LOL!!!!!!! Actually, getting the license just makes him "legal"........like most ranch and farm kids, he's been driving since he was about 9...... And, he's a darn good driver. Sideswiped a cattleguard his first time behind the wheel, then last fall (the day our neice got married) he hit some washboards in the road going out to Hubby's folk's place, and got off in the ditch, over-corrected and put his pickup into a pine tree sideways.....needless to say, the tree fared much better than the old pickup (it was my first, and his first one). Yep, one of the family. Fortunately, the only thing scuffed in that collision was Candy (what we called the pickup.)

Thanks for the offer, ranchwife, but no need for drugs here! Where were ya when Hubby's oldest son was learning to drive, though? That's when I coulda used a bunch of that stuff!!!!!!!

PT, ya don't see him without his sombrejo too often.......I can probably count on my fingers, the pictures I've got of him, hatless, since he got old enough to know he was supposed to wear a hat!

Hanta Yo, he can't give me any gray hairs, his older brother took care of that, back when I was just a yungin!!!!!! Guess the only thing left for Al to do, is make my hair fall out!

lilly, I made him drive me over to Springerville the day he got his license.........I'm using this built-in chauffeur all I can, before he decides it's not "cool" to drive yer ma around........
