Bill Clinton telling America "words have meaning"

Willy's words
Jeannie DeAngelis

Daily I find myself in a quandary. I wake up in the morning deciding I'm going to give liberals the benefit of the doubt and within an hour I'm unable to contain myself.

Take for instance, Bill Clinton deciding to officiously extend the insightful revelation that "words have meaning." Bill Clinton telling America "words have meaning" is like a portly Dom DeLuise lecturing the nation that dieting can be successful.

Feeling compelled to step forward at a Center for American Progress Action Fund event the former President, "warned of slippery slopes" saying anti-government rhetoric can lead to violence similar to the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing. Clinton, the master of distortion, reminded America, "The words we use really do matter." Odd language coming from a man whose slippery words propelled the entire nation down a slope of impeachment proceedings into a full-blown constitutional crisis.

Seeing as Bill Clinton feels comfortable about drawing parallels with Oklahoma City and the Tea Party, then if I may be so bold? I believe his lying, cheating, adulterating and perjuring himself turned America into a type of Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. Bill Clinton's lying under oath was a political terrorist attack carried out by an American president. No truck, just deceitful lies with far-reaching, negative implications, "words with meaning" as Bill aptly points out.
Clinton, familiar bony finger raised, continued on,

What we learned from Oklahoma City is not that we should gag each other or that we should reduce our passion for the positions we hold - but that the words we use really do matter, because there's this vast echo chamber, and they go across space and they fall on the serious and the delirious alike. They fall on the connected and the unhinged alike.

Delirious and unhinged like Clinton was when staring into the camera emphatically swearing to America "I want you to listen to me, I did not have sex with Monica Lewinsky, not ever"...that kind of unhinged delirium?

I guess words do matter to Bill Clinton, unless of course those words happen to be the truth and then they don't matter quite as much.

Clinton expounded on how "incendiary language can be taken the wrong way by some Americans," sort of like when a President swears under oath to tell the truth, and then lies? William Jefferson C. is correct, the American people always want to believe the best and do have a tendency to "take it the wrong way" when someone presents boldfaced lies as if it were the truth.

Former President Clinton, who always was a proponent of personal responsibility, be it on the table, or under the desk, extended a Cuban cigar of peace to conservatives saying, "One of the things that the conservatives have always brought to the table in America is a reminder that no law can replace personal responsibility. And the more power you have and the more influence you have, the more responsibility you have."

You got that right Sherlock. Hey Billy, follow the bouncing ball, more power...more influence...more responsibility, there you go.

Clinton said, "I'm glad they're fighting over health care [yeah right] and everything else [yeah sure]. Let them have at it. But I think that all you have to do is read the paper every day to see how many people there are who are deeply, deeply troubled." True--adultery, prevaricating, and sex addiction would certainly give Bill Clinton the credentialed experience to recognize other troubled people.

Clinton calling Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann a wife, mother and upstanding voice for freedom a troublemaker because she rightly identified Chicago thugs in Washington DC as a "gangster government" shows just how perverted and skewed liberals like Bill view the world.

A gravely serious Clinton, bifocals in hand coupled with extremely dry lips made a smooth transition into a fifth grade history lesson explaining how the original Boston Tea Party was in response to taxation without representation"-really? Clinton clarified that the current Tea Party "protesters are challenging taxation by elected officials, and the demonstrators have the power to vote them out of office." Please God, for the first time ever, from Bill Clinton's mouth, to Your ears.

Failing to use the consequences of his own selfish lying words as an example, the former president neither then, nor now, ever seemed to really care about the affect irresponsible, disrespectful behavior had on the country. Yet like an elderly reverend Bill Clinton pontificates on the importance of paying heed to words because he suddenly believes they have meaning?

"By all means keep fighting, by all means, and keep arguing. But remember, words have consequences as much as actions do, and what we advocate, commensurate with our position and responsibility, we have to take responsibility for. We owe that to Oklahoma City" - No, Mr. President we'll will keep moving forward, speaking the truth, and exercising Constitutional God-given rights because we owe that to America.

Wasn't it Bill Clinton that jumped to conclusions and blamed the Oklahoma bombing on Right Wing Extremists, before any investigation had even started?

What Clinton and his supporters do not talk about is the way in which Clinton, aided by pollster/adviser Dick Morris, exploited the bombing to make a political comeback from what was the lowest point in Clinton's presidency to that time. (The Lewinsky scandal was still three years in the future.) In the days after Oklahoma City, Clinton and Morris devised a plan to use the bombing to discredit and outmaneuver the new Republican majority in Congress.

And then came the explosion at the Murrah Federal Building. In addition to seeing a criminal act and human loss, Clinton and Morris saw opportunity. If the White House could tie Gingrich, congressional Republicans and conservative voices like Rush Limbaugh to the attack, then Clinton might gain the edge in the fight against the GOP.

Anniversary of the bombing coming, Dems down in the polls.

What's the strategy here?

Bill Clinton: April 23, 1995
"We hear so many loud and angry voices in America today whose sole goal seems to be to try to keep some people as paranoid as possible and the rest of us all torn up and upset with each other," he said. "They spread hate. They leave the impression that, by their very words, that violence is acceptable."

Later, under the heading "How to use extremism as issue against Republicans," Morris told Clinton that "direct accusations" of extremism wouldn't work because the Republicans were not, in fact, extremists. Rather, Morris recommended what he called the "ricochet theory." Clinton would "stimulate national concern over extremism and terror," and then, "when issue is at top of national agenda, suspicion naturally gravitates to Republicans." As that happened, Morris recommended, Clinton would use his executive authority to impose "intrusive" measures against so-called extremist groups. Clinton would explain that such intrusive measures were necessary to prevent future violence, knowing that his actions would, Morris wrote, "provoke outrage by extremist groups who will write their local Republican congressmen." Then, if members of Congress complained, that would "link right-wing of the party to extremist groups." The net effect, Morris concluded, would be "self-inflicted linkage between [GOP] and extremists."

of course the dems realize they need the tea party to split the vote on the the right. if palin et al can be goaded into raising the level of rhetoric it will steer some moderates to the dems.

I do not think so DON too many have felt the sting of the liberal grasp in the pocket book and are looking for relief by getting them out of their pocket

But it's not working out that way, is it? It's splitting the vote on the left. Independents and moderates are flocking to the Tea Party and the majority of voters, 63%, say their incumbent rep. needs to go.

Now, if the Tea Party was truly Right Wing Extremist, the plan might work. That's why the MSM is trying so hard to bait them. And that is driving more people away from the left.

The risk America runs is that the Left become convinced that it will be voted out in November. Not maybe, but definitely. They are currently in charge of all branches of the government. There is a possibility that they become so convinced of their loss in the upcoming election they will “go berserk” legislatively.

Or “burn the Reichstag” to reverse their fortunes. Obama has hinted at it, Bill Clinton has amplified it, and FBI Director Mueller confirms it.

the president asked, “Does anybody think that the teabag, anti-government people are going to support them if they bring down health care? All it will do is confuse and dispirit” Democratic voters “and it will encourage the extremists.”

Clinton is playing a starring role in the liberal effort to draw what the New York Times calls "parallels between the antigovernment tone that preceded that devastating attack and the political tumult of today." The short version of the narrative is: Today's Tea Partiers are tomorrow's right-wing bombers.

warning from the FBI that “home-grown and lone-wolf extremists” now represent as serious a threat as Al Qaeda and its affiliates, The Times reported on Saturday.

The warning, from the FBI Director, Robert Mueller, came as the former President Clinton drew parallels between the Oklahoma City tragedy and a recent upsurge in anti-government rhetoric, while American television audiences heard Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber, describe the “absolute rage” that drove him to plan an attack that killed 168 men, women and children.

But that would be a false flag, and that has never happened, or been planned, in US history before, has it?

Operation Northwoods, or Northwoods, was a false-flag plan that originated within the United States government in 1962. The plan called for Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) or other operatives to commit genuine acts of terrorism in U.S. cities and elsewhere. These acts of terrorism were to be blamed on Cuba in order to create public support for a war against that nation, which had recently become communist under Fidel Castro. One part of the Operation Northwoods plan was to "develop a Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities and even in Washington."
