after I read this I was listening to MSNBC,.. the panel were disusing the shutdown..

I sure wish I could have been there in that studio and able to confront the panel..

they constantly refereed to the Conservatives as children.. who do not respect the law of the land or the president who was elected..

they felt the Obamacare law was unfairly targeted..

here is how i feel about them.. It is hard to negotiate, let alone with the other party when all they can do is demonize, hurl ridiculous insults and call US children.. I believe once the democrats and president mature a bit civil negotiations could take place.

Yes the President was elected, so was the congress,.. by the people ,. to be a check and balance to the president's office.. not to just agree and shake hands at public photo-ops. and they are doing what the people want to stand up for US,... that is why we elected them.

Yes, for now Obamacare is the law of the land as were many other laws who were thrown out,.. it is a law that is flawed and the democrats will not allow to be fixed out of fear of losing their so-called legacy law.

and as the law of the land now it should be enforced, not over-ridden by waivers and missed deadlines. this needs to be done by legislation not a single handed strike of the pen by the president.

and while we are on the subject of law of the land.. what about enforcing existing Immigration laws?

and if i wasn't already cut off.. and my mike silenced..
I would ask which of the compromises the conservatives proposed is so unreasonable..

was it the repeal of the medical device tax the senate recently voted for, or was it the mandate that congress are subject to the law as it is already the law of the land and they were illegally exempted,.. which by the way ALL of the democrats in both houses voted for that one and the president signed it once already..

or is it the delay that is fine for Obama's corporate buddies, but not uS the citizens..

and if I wasn't already cut off.. (which I doubt)

I would ask,.. if the law is perceived as so favorable,.. why would it need a mandate?

so since you brought it up Beethoven... Who is really being uncivil, contentious in this political culture?

and how would you answer my comments?

with silence,.. or just more politics and insults as the liberals have done..

curious and interested in politics. the complexity informs us that is it not something that can be considered solved. enjoy good discussion.
also, am not a citizen of the united states. am an observer. don't mind your opinion, tho it may or may not align to mine. no patience for arguing, or provacative exchange. not productive. if you feel strongly, argue with others who enjoy that.

oh that is a good response.. insinuate it is just an argument... and you had nothing to do with it..

my response was a valid response,.. my question was just out of curiosity..

But what is curiously interesting is for you to throw out a provocative article and clip and then run away from the discussion while tossing an insult over your shoulder is par for the course these days.. and a prime example of the lack of civility and contentious behavior you seemed to want to inform others about..

I realize the truth may hurt.. but try to have a nice day..

there are many who view and do not post, and those who post and do not expect a reply, it is just a community of ranchers here. some of us are quite happy to share or not, with no expectations. to the two of you who complain about my posts, feel free to not view them and to not reply!

When you make a post here of any kind, it is open for discussion.
Why do you post and then wish to not discuss it when others do?
