Last night the majority of these storms stopped just south of the Missouri River-- but today as this front moves thru northern Montana and into Canada they are saying today and tonight could be our turn for chances of the severe stuff...
Rockglen SK already has a tornado watch in effect..Looks like to the west of me- and all thru I Luv hefrds area the storms are already starting to fire...

I'd just as soon even the rain missed us this time...

A lot of southern Saskatchewan is under a tornado watch, including Regina. So far it hasn't reached into Manitoba.... that I know of.

We hid in the basement once as one skipped over our yard a few years back. I don't ever want to have to do that again.......

Environment Canada has issued a tornado watch for southern Saskatchewan, including Regina, Fort Qu'Appelle, Estevan, Moose Jaw and Assiniboia.

“The winds are set up in the atmosphere in such a way that they allow storms to rotate. While we don't think that this will produce widespread or strong tornadoes, an isolated tornado could occur with thunderstorms,” says Weather Network meteorologist Chris Scott.

The thunderstorms could also produce large hail, flooding rain, deadly lightning, and powerful winds.

Last night, a tornado warning was issued for the regional municipality of Argyle, including Gainsborough and Carievale. The warning was dropped around 10 p.m.

Storm just got done here...It was heading right toward us- then got near the lake- and turned down "Hail Alley" (area that always gets hail) heading towards Fort Peck-Frazer- and following along the Missouri...I heard wind, hail, and heavy rain was in that part of the storm...All we got here was .15 of straight down rain...

Tornado watch is still on till 9PM for most of eastern Montana-- but temp has dropped from near 80 to 60- sun has come out now- and I think our problems are by....

A cold front is supposed to move through here this evening causing
heavy rain. They have now issued a Flash Flood Watch.
And South Dakota and parts of Wyoming are in a Tornado watch.

FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT TONIGHT... THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR * PORTIONS OF MONTANA AND NORTH CENTRAL WYOMING...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...IN MONTANA...BIG HORN...CARTER...CUSTER... FALLON...MUSSELSHELL...POWDER RIVER...ROSEBUD...TREASURE AND YELLOWSTONE. IN NORTH CENTRAL WYOMING...SHERIDAN. * UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT TONIGHT * THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING AND BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN. * PORTIONS OF THE WATCH AREA HAVE RECENTLY RECEIVED SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION RESULTING IN SATURATED SOILS. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL IN THESE AREAS WILL QUICKLY RUN OFF INTO CREEKS AND STREAMS RESULTING IN POTENTIAL FLASH FLOODING. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING. IF YOU ARE IN A LOW LYING AREA BE PREPARED TO MOVE QUICKLY TO HIGHER GROUND SHOULD HEAVY RAIN OCCUR. MONITOR FUTURE FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED. $$

Dan Miller the broadcaster was at the Cenex not far from the Metra when the tornado touched down. He shot video of it. You mainly see the debry flying.
Tons of video on youtube. There is one to watch. It is a sideways shot of the tornado, but at the end they get a shot of a bolt of lighting coming down across the street from them.
Pretty cool.

i know I'm weird. :D

Lets see if this works.

We were fishing at Deadman's when we looked toward where we live and decided to head home because it was BLACK...headed home and the radio was blaring out weather warnings...drove through the worst of it, couldn't see the lines on the road but were too scared to pull off cuz we didn't know if anyone was behind us...drove through it, got to Roundup and with more of Radio warnings hit the pedal to the metal cuz the tornado was headed for us...on the way home saw the tornado cloud but more East of us (whew) only got 1/2" rain out of that one...never caught a fish, just a bunch of bug bites

Glad you guys were alright.

Knew nothing about it since we do not have the TV on, until heard it on the radio the next morning.

We were heading home and were between Roundup and Grass Range a few years ago and we were watching a nasty looking storm to our west. It had a wall cloud.
Son told us to look off to our left and almost straight above us and there was a small funnel spinning. I got a couple pics of it.
