Birdseye view of Silver

Fellow came by a bit ago selling pics he took from his airplane last year, so I coughed up more cash than I'd care to admit for a framed pic and a proof that I could scan. I wouldn't have bought it but we had just got the house built, and it will be a nice keepsake.

Purty, purty, purty!

Too bad it's too far north of me and in another country. :D

And too close to where Pookie lives.

Man! All that green hurts my eyes. lol. You are a lucky man Silver. Great work on the house too.

I can see why you like your area so well. I was wondering if cattle range in the hills around you during the summer months? It looks like so many trees, that the grass would have a hard time competing? I assume you run cattle in the hills, but fencing looks like it would be a problem.

You're a lucky guy Silver. Must be nice to work with this much scenery around you. Do you have any wolf or cougar problems in your area.

Beautiful country and a nice home too!

About every ten years an aerial photography outfit flies over and later tries to peddle their pictures. It always seems expensive, but if you hired it done it would cost much more.

My Dad built our place in 1953 and we have a black & white photo of the new buildings and corrals taken that year. We do not have a photo in the 60's, but have one taken in 1973, 1983, 1993 and 2004. They all hang on the same wall and it is fun to see the changes we've made through the decades. Guests enjoy looking at them too.

I think it's a great idea to buy those pictures whenever you have the chance.

That is a gorgeous picture, Silver. You live in a very pretty part of the world. The photo was well worth whatever it cost.

That is a gorgeous shot! I've taken pictures when we fly over our place, but NEVER are we ever that green! That is amazing the colors in that photo. Different landscape and grasses, that's what makes this ole world a colorful place!

Thanks for sharing, Silver. You posted some pics in the past on the inside of your house before it was completed, which was absolutely gorgeous, I see the outside is just as nice :)

Love your country BTW.

Nice picture & very nice house, Silver.

Quite a few years ago, my brother was playing over at my grandparents' house when a plane started flying low overhead. He went running out in the field to get a better look with the dog trailing after him. Well, not long after that, some folks stopped by selling aerial photos of the places in that area. My grandparents couldn't refuse because it not only had their place pictured, but also their grandson & their dog.
