Burnt did you read the viewer's comment section immediately following the article? Evidently Mr. Black is sitting in a Federal jail for crimes committed. At least that is what some of the posters say in their remarks.

Conrad Black is in a federal prison in Fl. for taking money from his company. He is a "crook" that got caught, rather than one who sits in government and steals the public's money without getting caught.

Take your pick.

Didn't bother me at all, Mike. Just wanted to clarify a little bit about Mr. Black. :)

why is "everyone" now talking about Obama resigning?

does Browns' win mean Obama lost?

BTW.. it has been my opinion for awhile that once Obama's popularity gets below 50% the courts would soon see the case on his ineligibility to be president...

if he had been thrown out right after the election it would have caused riots and mayhem.,, and scars that would not heal for generations.. now... well good riddance would be the words uttered by many...

Well I guess your computer arranges pages different than mine. I didn't go past the first page (on my computer) before I found I beleive it was three posters who were critical of Mr. Black's remarks not to mention his current address. But I do agree with Pig Farmer there are just as many crooks in DC that haven't been caught but they aren't limited to one party either.

Can you prove Mr. Black wrong or are you just following the Democrats lead in distracting from the message by attacking the messenger?

I have only one problem with what Mr. Black said that being Obama is "surprisingly, incompetent". To that I say no not surprisingly. this is a guy that has not run anything, not even a ice cream stand and the Democrats tapped him to run the most powerful country in the World. What on heavens earth made them think he was experienced enough to take on the job? No military experience, No business experience, No common sense, just a guy that likes to read other peoples words from a teleprompter and hear people cheer his brilliants. Sorry but he is not surprisingly incompetent he is Completely utterly predictably incompetent. And some of us have been saying so for months only to be attacked by the left leaning here on ranchers. I'm just glad a few more are starting to wake up and smell the coffee.

I'm not trying to prove Mr. Black right or wrong. Even in prison he is entitled to his views. I just think that if they are going to be put on the internet people need to know Mr. Black's current residence. But at least once he must have been wrong in some way, in the eyes of a judge or jury, to be in Federal prison. Of course if a Republican should win in 2012 and Mr. Black's comments keep getting published, I guess he would stand a better chance of his sentence being commuted.

I really don't know where I stand on Black's "wrongdoings". But I know one thing - he is one of the best, well read, informative political writers that I have ever read.

His grasp of historical impact on present day events and historical comparisons are second to none.

Is he guilty of being unscrupulous in some of his dealings? It appears so. At least, a judge found him to be so. I wouldn't like if someone took my invested money unlawfully. Which is why I find it hard to see Conrad Black as more deserving of sitting in a federal prison than many others, perhaps Barry Obama included.

Maybe if he gets out he would fit right into obama ring

I think Mr. Black is better then that bunch.

I understand he is using his time in prison to teach other inmates. He is a very well educated man. If I remember right the crime that put him away was removing and destroying files from his office. He's a crook but was a very successful business man.
