Blackwater...should they stay or go?

The sovereign, independent, democratic nation of Iraq wants them out. After they pay $8 million a head for killing Iraqis.

Who would disagree with a sovereign, indpendent and democratic nation? Not me.

What about your own nation? :???:

My country wants us out of Iraq. They say we should never have gone in the first place.

http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2007-09-09-poll_N.htm

"While a third of those surveyed say the "surge" of U.S. troops this year has made them more confident the United States will accomplish its goals, a majority calls the invasion a mistake and predicts the war will be lost.
A record 60% say the United States should set a timetable to withdraw forces "and stick to that timetable regardless of what is going on in Iraq."

So, since the Dems have the majority in Congress, and you claim that the polls want us to surrender, why haven't they pulled the funding and waved the white flag? Don't they always do what the polls tell them to do?

Why wouldn't the majority believe the war will be lost, that is all they hear from the Liberal media. most people do not take the time to look past the Liberal media so they are going to believe whatever they are fed.

In reality a small group of bias media dictate what the average American is going to think about most subjects. If tomorrow all media came out with all the good we are doing in Iraq, and all the accomplishments the soldiers have had, then the polls would go the other way. Most people are sheep! And the Dem's rely on that, their very existence depends on it!

Blackwater should stay. The ROE's (Rules of Engagement) are way to strict the longer we're over there. It's rediculous. You have soldiers worrying weather or not to pull the trigger because there may be an investigation. The insurgens are very good at hiding things. When your mission is to protect a convoy, you can stop and investigate after an attack, your mission is to get the package where it needs to go. You can bet that the scene is going to be disturbed.

Blackwater is doing a tough job in a rough area. Maybe these people seeking out these rules should ride along with them when they have to follow them.

Nice try. We're talking about what the leader of the country wants - not about a poll. You can spin all you want to, but I'm not going to let you get by with it.

You stated:

"The sovereign, independent, democratic nation of Iraq wants them out."

You used as your reference an article detailing EXACTLY who it is that wants them out:

"Al-Maliki ordered the investigation by his defense minister and other top security and police officials..."

That would be the same thing as President Bush appointing a panel consisting of the Secretary of Defense and the head of the FBI, ATF, etc.

So...if President Bush appointed such a panel - you think they should get what they want, right? After all, if you think the al-Maliki government should get what it wants because it's a "sovereign, independent, democratic nation"...I'm sure you would also support the Bush government getting what it wants. Right?

You wouldn't have a double standard, would you? Anything to make President Bush and conservatives look bad - doesn't that REALLY describe your agenda?

You wouldn't support a foreign government getting what it wants, but deny that to your own government just because you don't like the leadership, would you? You wouldn't disagree with President Bush, would you? Nah, surely not. Because you said:

Let's hear it, ff. Spin away.....

I think that if the war had been fought all this time by private militias, it would have been over long ago. Those guy kick tail and take names. They get the job done. This conflice lately, about civilians getting killed by Blackwater troops, well, in war there are no civilians. I dare say that Iraqis don't have any compunction about killing civilians. I am tired of that double standard. Secular killings all over the country, and they want to bitch when someone kills civilians by mistake. It is sad, but a fact of life. I don't really care how many of them have to die to get this thing over.
