All the blaming Bush, and now Regan is really disgusting. Yes Bush spent like a fool, but just take a look at the numbers below.

During Obama's presidency to date, the national debt has risen by an average of $1.7 trillion a year — or by a jaw-dropping $1.1 trillion more, per year, than it rose even under Bush.

Bush - Days in Office: 2,922
600 billion a year
Jan. 20, 2001: $5,727,776,738,304.64
Jan. 20, 2009: $10,626,877,048,913.08

Obama – Days in Office: 715
1.7 Trillion a year
Jan. 20, 2009: $10,626,877,048,913.08
Jan. 4, 2011: $14,025,215,218,708.52

and the Dems. will say that Clinton left Bush with a surplus, which is bull puckey.....

Where is oldtimer when obama needs his support? probably at the local watering hole trying to convince someone there he has an iota of intelligence without buying a drink :D :D :D

Its nice to know everything was in good shape when Bush left office, what a relief. No wars unpaid for, and of course, he was against the bailouts- necessary because of the financial occurrences under his administration. No doubt, he was great. :???: This ought to get some responses. I say this not being a great Obama fan either at this point.

Bush was too liberal in his spending, it has been said many times. He was definitely not a conservative, but I think the point of this thread was that Democrats have a problem looking at their President's own failures, without trying to find a scapegoat.

What's the answer? More or less spending? Who's more apt to lead you towards the answer, a true conservative, or another liberal spender ( no matter what the party affiliation)

Romney would be another liberal spender, as would another 4 years of obama.

So, your choices?

No one said that. Pleae don't try and put words in our mouth. Bush had many problems, the only thing is obamas is way way way worse.

well the Democrats have at least excelled at finding scapegoats...
