Bleach blondes

Help Support Ranchers.net:

Question is Why are you bleaching a streak on a cow? Most people want to get rid of the white strip on the simmental cattle.

When we preg check our open we will paint a bleach stripe on across the top of their hips...that way when it comes time to ship we can cut the correct cows out.

it's also kinda neat to do one on the shoulders for late calvers----can sometimes get a pretty good premium on them from guys who calve later as opposed to just canning them.

That's not a bad idea. We use the "orange tag of death". When we treat, or otherwise mess with a cow she gets the orange, easily visible, no excuses addition.
I thought you were targeting something like this...

I see it pretty regular here. Except they use the bleach to paint a 0 on the hip. Last better than a crayon or paint. And it is cheaper too.
