Bloomberg says "no"

On ABC's "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve", Republican turned Independent Mayor Michael Bloomberg told Seacrest in no uncertain terms that he will not make a bid for the Oval Office.

Seacrest, who more often finds himself in a tete-a-tete with Simon Cowell rather than the leader of Gotham, began the inquiry by commenting to Bloomberg's daughters, "I want your dad to answer this honestly. Will you run for president?"

Without hesitation, Bloomberg responded, "No, I will not run for president, but I will speak out to try to get people to really focus on the issues and to get rid of partisanship and special interests."

We'll see what Mr. Doomberg eventually does. I have never forgiven H. Ross Perot for handing the 1992 election to Der Schleickmeister William Jefferson Klinton.

At this point, any third party candidate will throw a monkey wrench into things.

God knows, the Party of Surrender at Any Cost does not need any help. They have given away and whittled away at this country for far too long. Let them get into orifice, and like Soapweed sez, ol GW will start lookin' real good.

Yeah, the last 12 years have been hell. Too bad for you that the Republicans were in charge of the Congress and/or Congress and White House most of that time. But don't let a little thing like the facts get in the way of your rant.

Sounds like another case of Bush Derangement Syndrome.

Share with us the great accomplishments the Dims have made since 2000, if you will....

The great accomplishment of the 'Dims' is that they kicked the Republican majority out of Congress last election and odds are they'll kick more out this year.

And, with luck, will also take the White House. Think of it: Democrats in charge of the entire US government.
