We fed with six Belgians abreast one winter up near where Soapweed lives. Great experience, I'm glad I had it. They fed years in that manner, but I was only there one winter.
Shortgrass there is still a local man in the area that feds with horses. Fences with them and even pulls the head of a stacker with them. It is amazing to see and I am thrilled my children have gotten to see it all. Growing up my uncle fed with six horses so I was around it a lot. Feeding with horses is a lot of work but I am thankful for the memories I have from growing up around it.
