The Calder Series by Janet Dailey........my favorite set of books, and she's sooooo slow about comin out with the next one......I've been waitin almost a year and a half for the next book. But it's all good readin, starts out with a Cattle drive from Texas to Montana........thru generations of the Calder family's ranch it's now into modern day time.

One that I enjoyed was "BEAVER TALES, Trappers, Traders, Mountain Men & Scoundrels" by Clyde M. Rabideau of Plattsburgh, NY It gives the history of the west a new perspective. Follows mostly a fur trading family of Missouri and their travels west.

Charles Goodnight , can't seem to put my hands on it at the minute.

They are both excellent.
