3 Guardian dogs. 3 cattle/sheep dogs 3 old pet dogs... Age will start to bring down the numbers soon enough... 15 year old Husky, 11 year old Shep/malamute and Rott/Shep and 8 year old semi crippled pyreneas are not long for this world probably.

Gosh I thought I was bad with five Borders. What is the plan for the Beagles, NR? Going to take up fox hunting, riding to the hounds?
I'm not sure your new mare looks quite ready for cross country jumping!

I am not happy about the 9 dogs.. It was a mistake to get that many and It will never happen again. 5 total canines sound like a good number to me.. If I actually worked the 6 working dogs as well as I should I would feel better about it but one of the Kelpies... I just want to choke her and one of the Guardian dogs is more trouble than she is worth right now.. Hopefully she will settle down but she just doesn't want to leave the puppy stage behind. When the three guard dogs are out with the sheep/goats I think of them more as livestock than dogs.. When they aren't for whatever reason than it is too many dogs.

Nope Denny.. Can't say that I do... The Cattle/sheep dogs al crap in one place as they are kenneled when not used (I wish I didn't have too put the two fellas have the unfortunate habit of lifting their legs on everything in site or chasing the wife's chickens) so that poop is pretty well contained. The three pets.. They kind of like to find secluded areas along fence lines and the Guardian dogs do as well.. I step in cow crap a lot more than dog crap.
