I just got this in email, from our Livestock Grazer's Association President, word needs to be gotten out. The Millers have a young daughter (less than 10 years old, but I can't remember exactly how much younger) that could be this bad pack's next victim........

I just got off the phone with Mary Miller at the Link. She is going to video the scene of the attack on their horse. There are wolf tracks everywhere blood pools scattered all over and torn up ground for the entire scene. This horse was singled out and mauled to death while it tried desperately to pen itself in it's own corral. Once it managed to get into the corral it was a goner and they killed and ate it in the corral near it's own manger.

Mary says she has wolf scat on her front porch where they killed ate and hung around for what was probably a couple days.

As soon as I get a video and the photo's I will get them posted and passed out. Mary described the scene this way, "It looked like like something from a Gladiator Fight. And we can all well imagine that horse with 5 wolves hanging off of it fighting for it's life."

This is a problem pack, there are a minimum of 5 wolves in it consistently, it has been a problem since the past summer. Prior to that they were removed from Blue AZ for running up and down the community trying to kill dogs in their yards. The pack or individuals dispersing in and out of this pack have killed 6 dogs in NM in the past 6 months including one of my Pyrenees pups over Christmas.

The pack has been allowed to do this for so long now that rubber bullets, fladry and fencing will do nothing but move them to the next neighbor. Keep in mind there is a dude ranch a few miles up the road where many families come to vacation and ride. Someone will be hurt if this isn't dealt with.

These predators are the "pet" project of the USF&WS here.......they are very closely watched, until they pull one of these stunts. Then F&WS are nowhere to be found.........
