This thread is now 96 hours old - with zero responses from Obama supporters and/or liberals. Maybe it just needs something to freshen it up a little? Something to make it more interesting/appealing to liberals?

Let's try an edit. Let's try changing the name of the topic to the 'issues' that seem to be the most important to the liberals here and see if that will make them more comfortable participating.

This concludes this edit - the balance of this post is old, unanswered, and seemingly (to liberals) unimportant material.

=============================================

Where do you liberals and Obama supporters stand on this excessive spending? Many of the conservatives here complained along with you about spending under President Bush. But now? You liberals are silent? Where's your outrage over too much spending now?

This is just like you finding yourself in financial trouble and going to your local banker asking for help. Asking him for a signature loan so that you can pay off some other bills and get your business back on track.

When your banker is good enough to give you what you need (because he trusts you to do what is right), what do you do? You go out and blow most of that money on all of the things you've ever wanted - and all of the things that your friends have ever wanted. And then go back and ask for more - because you still need it to get your business back in shape.

That is EXACTLY what Obama and the Democrats in Congress are doing. They're trying to fill their wish lists with money borrowed to get our country back in shape. They're trying to pay off their long-time supporters and constituencies with borrowed money that will have to be embezzled later from their bosses - the taxpayers.

If you went to your banker and told him that you had blown the money and needed more, he'd realize that he made a mistake the first time. He'd probably laugh in your face and cut you off. And rightfully so.

Well, why aren't you liberals and Obama supporters cutting off Congress and the Obama Administration? Why aren't you speaking out about this spending - the same way you complained when President Bush was doing it? Where's your outrage now?

Where the hell are you?

You can be sure that if McCain was President and he was putting our grand kids in this kind of debt. They would be lighting up the keyboard to complain.

This is a perfect example of how partisan liberals are vs Conservatives. Like you said us Conservatives spoke out many times because of Bush's spending. As much as I hated Obama as President, I did not vote for either him or McCain due to signing that big Spending bill. I said before they did it if anyone voted for it I would not vote for them.

I think Liberals have so much vested in Obama, they are willing to let America burn at the risk of having a little pie on their face.

You are looking at it the wrong way. It isn't spending, it is investing. How can anyone be against investing?

You should see the stimulus check I wrote to Lumber Liquidators for over 1200 sq. feet of solid bamboo flooring.....not to mention 50 sheets of birch underlayment the local lumberyard had me "invest" in....

At least those investments kept me from investing in Christmas, birthday, Valentine's Day, anniversary, and Mother's Day presents "this year". Last year, however, almost 20K of new windows and renovations didn't get me off the hook.....for some reason. :?

Ask yourself if you went to your bank and asked to get a $634 BILLION loan for a down payment on a business venture with no business plan, do you think the Bank would give it to you?

This is exactly what Obama has done with the US Health Care money he has requested in the Budget. No plans just a request for the down payment.

it's better to "invest" heavily in Christmas, birthday, Valentine's Day, anniversary, and Mother's Day presents, then to pay the increased health care deductables due, when she sees your poor "investment" strategy.. or worse lack of "investments" at all..

plus the return on "investment" is often much better then large one time "investments" such as windows..

and now that all spending is considered an "investment", we are much closer to investing in a new boat.. and "investing" in a new "hunting" assault rifle.. sure hope my accountant likes my new "investment" plan....

Ok, I'll bite!

Where do you liberals and Obama supporters stand on this excessive spending?
I am an excessive spender so I can't throw any stones at anyone!

This is just like you finding yourself in financial trouble and going to your local banker asking for help. Haven't borrowed any money whatsoever in 30+ yrs...haven't needed to. I went to school with the local banker and he always had a green booger in his nose as a kid....so I just could NOT bank with....just can't get over that sight 30 yrs later!!!

[When your banker is good enough to give you what you need (because he trusts you to do what is right), what do you do? I don't think the words Banker and Trust belong in the same sentence. Like one of those questions, Name which of these 3 things aren't related.

If you went to your banker and told him that you had blown the money and needed more, he'd realize that he made a mistake the first time. He'd probably laugh in your face and cut you off. And rightfully so. No, mine would be pizzed that I didn't take him along for the adventure!!!

Where the hell are you?

I'm sitting at my desk with my feet propped up.

Congratulations, kola. Not much of an answer, but at least you win the contest: the biggest (or only) balls out of all the liberals here.

That reminds me, back when I was in school one of my teachers said, when you enter a profession or start a business it is bettter to move from your own home town. People back home remember when you were just a snot- nosed kid. Kola's banker may be just another snot nosed kid from somewhere else.

Obama is not investing in anything. He is just throwing money out there and hoping that someone smarter then he, will find a way to use it that might help solve the problem. I am afraid that most will just go into someone's pocket and the problem will still be with us.
