broke leg

If the bone is not showing through just leave it in a quiet place and don't try splinting. Most all of them will heal on their own. If the bone is sticking out of the hide Justin's advice is best.

If it is a back leg, you really have a problem. A front leg might heal if
you do as gcreek suggested.

We've had a couple hind legs heal also FH but they were both broken between the hip and stifle.

I've had three break between the knee or hock and ankle. Just shut them in a small area and they healed without a blemish. No cast.

Depending where the break is at you have a couple options. You can try splinting the leg, lock it in a small pen and let time do the work, or if the bone is sticking out and it is a low break you could band the bottom part off and keep the calf in a small pen and eat him after it heals up.
