historic. Think about it, a Republican from MA being elected to the Senate to fill the seat vacated by the death of Sen. Kennedy.

Less than a year after Obama was sworn in, people are tired of this crap.

I'm so proud of the people in Mass. for their vote. It gives me hope for our country that we might survive and come back to common sense.

I believe we can all agree Obama deserves an A+ for his ability to swing a 60 year old BLUE state to Red after only one year in office.

"In many ways the campaign in Massachusetts became a referendum not only on health care reform but also on the openness and integrity of our government process. It is vital that we restore the respect of the American people in our system of government and in our leaders. To that end, I believe it would only be fair and prudent that we suspend further votes on health care legislation until Senator-elect Brown is seated."

Boston, Massachusetts (CNN) -- Republican Scott Brown won a major upset victory in Tuesday's special election for the U.S. Senate seat formerly held by liberal Democrat Ted Kennedy.

Brown had 52 percent of the vote to 47 percent for Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley, the Democratic candidate, according to the the National Election Pool, a consortium of media organizations including CNN.

Brown's victory made real the once unthinkable prospect of a Republican filling the seat held by Kennedy, known as the liberal lion, for almost 47 years until his death.

Voters across Massachusetts braved winter cold and snow for an election with high stakes -

not sure what the total will be later tonight... but at this point, it looks like there will be little doubt in who won..

Did any of you check out the election coverage on MSNBC.

Obermenn added a few more adjectives to his dislike of Scott Brown and then did a split screen while Brown did his speech and talked most of the way through it.

Rachel M. started out making funny of Brown and since I can't stand her I turned her off.

The one I would have love to see is "tingle up my leg" Chris Matthews. This must be killing that bias idiot.

I love watching MSNBC tonight. All those liberal pansies belly achin about this election. I am loving this right now. Hopefully this guy can keep his nose clean and use common sense to vote, and not give his soul to special interests. pray that this guy is a good person.

It's an historic night. A Republican from the State of MA has just been elected to carry out the term of a KENNEDY!!! Think about that for a minute, what happened tonight is just as historic as when Obama was elected in 2008.

No question what happened tonight is a major blow to Obama, Reid, and Pelosi (God, that woman just looks EVIL), what they do from now until November will determine wether or not they retain control of Congress.

I honestly dont see that they can save themselves now. Everyone has seen their true colors and they dont like it. Make no mistake this was a wake up call that we are taking our country back and we mean business.
