Hay Maker...thanks so much for posting that article.

In Montana, North and South Dakota we are battling salt cedar, and unfortunately losing. I wonder if those bugs will work up here?

Again, thanks for posting...

Cheers---

I stayed up late watching a special on Fire ant control with some sort of fly... It was pretty cool and absoultely brutal what those flies did to the ants... All of the clsoe ups o the ants made my skin crawl... Glad we don't have them up here... We just are infested with asian lady beatles.

I think a good while back TxTibbs posted something about this or something similar.....that they were trying to kill the salt cedars along the Pecos River....because they suck so much water out that could be used for irrigation.....I hate it when I can't remember stuff....LOL Seems like he posted arial photo's of some that had been killed.

When the State declared the Salt Cedar a noxious weed up here, they had some upset people-- many of the wealthy new house/ranchette owners had landscaped their yards with the "pretty bush"....Apparently one of the greenhouse/nurserys had really been selling them...Several threatened lawsuits---I thought they were going to have to arrest a couple of the little old ladies when they wouldn't remove them......They all finally settled down and when their attorney agreed to remove his- they did too......

We had them here when we moved here. But we yanked them out.
I still see some around Baker, tho. Obviously not every one knows
what they are.
