WASHINGTON (AP) - The Obama administration acknowledged for the first time Wednesday that four American citizens have been killed in drone strikes since 2009 in Pakistan and Yemen. The disclosure to Congress comes on the eve of a major national security speech by President Barack Obama.

Holder said that only Anwar al-Awlaki was “specifically targeted.” Khan was known to have been killed by the strike that targeted Awlaki, while the 16-year-old was killed in what senior administration officials described as a “mistake,” when he was in the company of another targeted individual shortly after his father’s death.

obama's drones seem to kill numerous children/civilians "by mistake"

I have flown a lot of UAV's

Precision missile and precision attack is a bit of a misnomer

There is always collateral damage - not easy to pick fly schitte out of pepper without smacking a few other objects and people if they are near by

I would think the number of civilian casualties increase with the number of drone strikes and the decrease of "on the ground" type of intelligence/kills, done in the day of the "bush killer"

funny we don't hear about the wars so much anymore, and the number of civilians killed...

If you don't want to be collateral damage .. don't stand next to a known terrorist..

I support Obama's policy of using drones.. it keeps american ..(and Canadian forces) out of the many ambush attacks they walked into over there...

in a firefight.. civilians almost always get killed.. especially when the terrorists use them for sandbags... muslim cowards will do anything to raise the civilian body count... even if they have to shoot a few themselves.. and if you don't watch your back when clearing the place.. one of those civilians will stab or shoot you in the back..

these terrorists let off bombs in crowded markets.. along the roadside.. at marathons,... they don't care who gets killed or maimed for life..

at least we care enough not to nuke the stupid ignorant radical islamic terrorists..
