Buffett Could Profit From XL Denial

Warren Buffett's Burlington Northern Santa Fe LLC is among U.S. and Canadian railroads that stand to benefit from the Obama administration's decision to reject TransCanada Corp. (TRP)'s Keystone XL oil pipeline permit.

With modest expansion, railroads can handle all new oil produced in western Canada through 2030, according to an analysis of the Keystone proposal by the U.S. State Department.

"Whatever people bring to us, we're ready to haul," Krista York-Wooley, a spokeswoman for Burlington Northern, a unit of Buffett's Omaha, Nebraska-based Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRK/A), said in an interview. If Keystone XL "doesn't happen, we're here to haul."

I've been saying that on here for sometime... The oil companies or their product supplyiers are buying up every deserted elevator- or site that has a side track on it for 200 miles from Williston-- and between them and BNSF are building new oil onload ports- product off load ports- besides the 3 or 4 new grain elevators going in....

If you have money to invest- invest it in BNSF... Old Buffett may pay too little in taxes- but it might be because he isn't afraid to go out and invest in the future of the country, rather than sitting on it.....

BNSF Railroad is hiring hundreds more in the area....Good jobs- with good benefits and retirement packages....Probably the most progressive and best standard of living raising company in MT today...

And the Nebraska NIMBY's crawling in bed with the Greenie Weenies and singing Kumbayaaa together is going to help him make millions $ more....

I too, could profit off the pipeline, you guys should invest in the companies that are involved.......I bet the pension funds of union employees are already invested.
