Buffett Lies

Help Support Ranchers.net:

RR preachings- "speak no evil against another Republican"

That's basically a motto in the South Dakota Republican Party.

What bull! If a Republican needs exposing, he should be exposed! It's a giveaway that the Republican Party isn't worth supporting.

Porkulus bill of Obama was $1.2 TRILLION, payback to his campaign donors at the expense of taxpayers. George Soros received between $4 billion to $5 billion from Obama's Porkulus Bill, investment for oil exploration in Venezuela. George Soros invested $20 million from 2006 to 2008 with socialist/commie democrat party; not a bad payout for a drop in the bucket contribution to Obama's party. Warren Buffett, another supporter of Obama, received money from Porkulus Bill for his railway project.

Even tho this is just a statement from another posting- I have no doubt about it because when Obama was in Montana on several occasions he said he supported developing Montanas huge coal supplys- and clean coal technology as an alternative energy to break us from being held captive by and sending our money out of country for foreign oil....

That is the type of infrastructure and alternative energy programs its too bad all of the Stimulus money wasn't spent on...

An interview he did in Montana with the Flathead Beacon:

30 May 2008 8:31 PM

Q: But what role should fossil fuels play, specifically in Montana, where we've got vast coal reserves? Do you think, in the short term or the long term, Montana should be moving more quickly to develop some of those coal reserves, to help us become a more energy-independent nation, or do we need to wait until better carbon-capture technology is developed?

Obama: I come from a coal state and so I am a big proponent of clean-coal technology and I want us to move rapidly in developing those sequestration technologies that's required. We're not going to immediately move off coal. A huge percentage of our electricity is generated by coal. What we need to do though is to put clean-coal technology on the fast track and that means money. It means investment in research. That's something that we should have already been doing. We had a project called FutureGen, a billion-dollar project that was slated to go up, and the Bush administration canceled it after the siting decision was made and it wasn't in Texas. I think that's a mistake. We're the Saudi Arabia of coal, and the sooner we can figure out how to burn it cleanly, not only are we going to benefit but we can license that technology to countries like China and India that are putting up new coal facilities every week.

Another article from the Governors conference:
Obama Pushing Clean Coal, Green Jobs
PHILIP ELLIOTT and MATTHEW DALY | 02/ 3/10 07:19 PM

It's been said that the United States is the Saudi Arabia of coal, and that's because ... it's one of our most abundant energy resources," Obama said. "If we can develop the technology to capture the carbon pollution released by coal, it can create jobs and provide energy well into the future."

Washington Gov. Christine Gregoire said the president told coal-state governors he understood their resistance to change when coal suppliers in their states are making money. She said Obama urged them to be partners in developing clean coal alternatives, a proposal that was embraced by many Republicans in the room.

"There was consensus around, let's see if we can develop a clean coal strategy of the future," she said.

Those just show that he's a liar. Just like you. What about it?

I knew he was a liar the whole time and you haven't figured it out yet.

Still feel like an idiot?

WE TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A huge percentage of our electricity is generated by coal.

I will remind you once again that this same thing happened leading up to the Great Depression. Control of supplies or the shipment of those supplies to market is cash.

Mike, all of these are the rules of the game that our illustrious politicians create.

In response to the abuses of yesteryear, the politicians did regulate the rail roads much like utilities but I guess regulation isn't something republicans like to do much. They are all into free enterprise and capitalists who will see opportunities and seize them as long as they get their cut.

I don't have a problem with Buffet or anyone else shoring up a rail line and making it profitable. It is whether they use that bottleneck in the economy to extract monopoly profits that is the question regulators need to look at again.

Capitalists are not bad unless they are allowed to play by rules that are bad for society. Getting coal to markets by investing in rail is efficient but can lead to excess profiteering that is not good for the economy. Enron drove a truck through the deregulation and wrecked California's electrical grid for a time. It was insane.

If we don't have competent government doing their job of regulating, we end up with all kinds of problems.

We need regulation and it doesn't need to be sold out by opportunistic politicians who make excuses based on over used ideology for the masses.

Tex
