Can't be done. Unions wouldn't allow it. Not even remotely possible.

Unless, of course, they could skim about 50% off the top. Then considering the 25%-30% that gov't bureaucracy would need to administrate it would leave only $4.00 per hour for the worker...........................Remember, we have that pesky minimum wage law.

I remember just a little about the CCC. It was set up primarally to provide jobs for the young single person. It paid $28.00 a month. it was expected that he would give part of that to help support his family. I suppose those who had positions to supervise did get paid a little more.

Today no one know what it was like to see real tough times.

Not really the CCC- but in regards to fires they do have a lot of fire crews that are made up entirely of Indians.... These Indian crews are called up and sent all over the nation wherever they are needed... They train during the slow time- have to take periodic physicals and physical testing.... It has been a good project for putting some of the younger Indians living on the reservations (where unemployment is high) to work.....
Better than just sending them government checks....

your right we have plenty that needs fixing.. and fixing our infrastructure would have put alot of folk to work..

had Obama and the democrats not blown a trillion of crap/porkulas .. we could have had alot of things built..

but no.. we had a paltry amount actually spent on infrastructure..
