Just came in and caught the last of the Gateway Simmental sale on Superior on the RFD channel....I had forgot all about it...Looks like quite a steady agenda of sales coming up to give someone something to watch on the cold days:

Gills Red Angus (BRG) sale is tomorrow at Noon Mountain Time..

Not as much fun as going to them- but it costs a lot less and burns a lot less gas then I used to trying to take many in...

here is a link to an angus sale with a few hereford bulls.

tell me what you think of their sale catalog... i built it for them - i have been trying to pick up some of that for a little extra cash flow. Weaver herefords were partners in our sale in chinook until we went private treaty. CCA angus is run by their new son-in-law.

Looks like a pretty good catalog Hereford76...

I know the Crowley/Young part of the family...I used to carouse around the Bear Paws quite a bit 40+ years ago with Scott and his sisters...The biggest bucking horse I ever saw was a huge workhorse out of someones team at a little rodeo at Cleveland..They had to use several inchs of baling wire to get the rear cinch to reach  - and about the second jump out of the chute- the horse hit the ground so hard with his front feed that the broncriders nose started spouting blood...

cleveland is a neat place - wonder who was riding that steed.... would be fun to ask if they remember it.

cleveland has an annual get together called "the after calving party".... went once and will never forget it.

Oh I know the guy that was riding the horse quite well- a fellow I grew up with-lives down in the Billings area now- that had been on quite a few saddle broncs- and had the yearning to be a bronc rider...He made it 2-3 jumps more with his nose splurting out blood- then did a header right over the front of the horse.....
Altho he worked and trained a lot of horses in years to come- and was in partnership with me on a stud thats bloodlines run thru half the horses on the Crow reservation---I don't think he got on another saddlebronc after that....
