Went to Merit Cattle company sale today. Their Charolais sold well a high sellof $16,100 to Semenx sp and a second on for $14,250. They sold well for the most part.

I think the high seller angus went to Howard Rambur and Rollin' Rock for $6,000.
I left my catalog for my Dad to look over tonight.
This is the bull I bought, I have used their bulls alot and try to change up with some new blood but stack up some maternal lines in the background. They ran out of buyers for the blacks and I got this one for $2,000. They passed about 10 bulls at the end of the sale. It wasn't for lack of quality as this is a deep set of cattle but lots of black bulls for sale in this country.

Can I just type IMG at both ends of the link to show?

Looks good BM-- a little shot of Ohlde genetics...

Just for info-- altho I've only got a few- and they are the oldest-- the calves that really stand out right now are the OCC Magnitudes... They stand about the same height as the other calves- but almost look short legged- because they have such deep thick bodies- and are already at a month old showing good muscle development...The two that stand out is a daughter out of a Bannon of Wye sired heifer and a bull calf out of Cole Creek Juanada Lad 81T sired heifer...I'm really interested to see how they do thru the summer...

I bought one of the OCC Legacy/ Crowfoot Equation bulls last year.

Too many moths in your wallet to find the funds for your first pick? :p

What did the 9726 bull that I liked bring?

I will check on your pick in the morning, Dad has my catalog tonight.

I was pretty undecided on my pick. I did take one to $2,700 but had a feeling they were going to get soft. This bull was one of my picks but sold second on my list. Another bull I had picked but he wanted to face up and shake his head at you. I had another bull a few years back from them that my daughter didn't like because he challenged her even on horse back and they had some of the same blood so he was out. The fourth bull I had on my list didn't get to be sold as they stopped the sale.

This guy weighed 1200lbs and 38cm scrotal.

I like the topside of his pedigree quite a bit better than the bottom-he has alot of capacity for sure. I haven't seen Trent in awhile I think Janelle is aging better than him lol.
