Yesterday when we moved some cows because of water holes going dry I noticed that we were missing one black bull and had picked up a red baldy of the neighbors- was too hot to even go looking for him because the pasture he was probably in is 16 sections- so waited til this morning...
Had a little thunderstorm roll thru early this morning and put down a tenth, so it was fairly cool and nice--I took off toward the pasture- before I went 1/4 mile I had a good indication of where I'd find him- I could hear bulls singing from a mile away...Some baritones, some bass (Luckily no sopranos  :lol all singing their song of who was toughest... A place where 3 pastures meet had over 20 bulls bunched in the corner all by the gates they almost had tore completely down- red bulls, redbaldy bulls and black bulls.. And everyone I needed to get sorted was right there, so my job was pretty easy just getting each back to his right girls...Had to go back and fix up the gate and fence in a few places and move them away from the fenceline, but I have a strong feeling that in the next day or two that whole fence corner may just end up in a ball of wire anyway...Won't be the first time and it all seems to sort out in the fall....
