What I'm tryin to do is breed a animal that stays sound, runs strate, has good horn length at 300 to 350 and stays healthy with feed that will hold them back from gainin a lot of weight. I won't have a cow or bull with bad feet. But if u inbred, could this come up? Can u safely breed a bull to his granddaughters? Or should stop with only his daughters? I've got two reg longhorned cows bred to my cracker bull. I'm hopein for bull calfs to keep for sires later on to get horn quicker. They'd be 1/2 brother to the heifers I'd won't to breed to. Would this be alright? I've never beleaved in inbreedin cattle. In my comercal herd, we change bulls every other year.
