Hey Sandy- looks like your getting your Socialism- thanks to Bush and Paulson

Sure been a lot of Repubs brought out of the closet this year   :p

U.S. Government Will Nationalize the Banks

Just a week after announcing that it was absolutely essential for the government to buy up all the toxic mortgages and that no other solution was possible, treasury secretary Henry Paulson has now ditched his plan and is going to (partially) buy the banks. This move effectively nationalizes them. The British government did this over the weekend and it led to a huge stock market rally in Europe. Paulson II caused the Dow Jones index to jump 936 points yesterday, its biggest one-day gain in history. While Paulson will never admit it, the plan to buy the banks was originally proposed by the liberal Democrats. However, he steamrollered them into submission and they voted for his plan because without it. he said, the sky would fall. Government ownership of the banks is a hallmark of socialism, of course. Who would have thought that the October surprise was for the Bush administration to come out of the closet and become overt socialists three weeks before a hotly contested election? The reaction of the Republican rank and file is yet to come. No doubt this subject will get a lot of play in tomorrow's third and final presidential debate.

I think it's a bunch of crap, and you know what I think of Bush, but guess what - Bush will be gone shortly. What's the point in debating about him?

McCain = Bush--- they've been in lockstep on policy, especially deregulation, spend and borrow, and nationbuilding policy that got us in this mess...
Like I've been saying for years and echoing for sometime on Bull Sessions- Unregulated Capitalism only works in true freemarket systems- and we haven't had a true freemarket system in this country since 1789 when George Washington decided whiskey and carriage makers should carry the burden of paying the war costs...

Unregulated Capitalism does not work when you have certain industries or corporate groups getting special treatment or subsidies or you have open unregulated trading with socialist countries like China, Europe, Canada, etc that don't have the same standards, rules, and laws to follow...

But old "I'm the Biggest Freetrader in the World" McSame still echos Bush's failed rhetoric.....

So why make things worse voting for a Socialist who has a problem telling the truth?

If we're getting Socialism anyway- I'd rather have it spent on America- and Americans to build America than patching holes caused by a failed "build China/Iraq/etal economic policy.....
