I live less than 85 miles from Ft. Hood and never heard a word about it. Oh well, barracko and his traveling circus are scheduled to fly in today or tomorrow. I guarantee you they'll insist that every tv station in Texas has at least one mobile unit on site to see the pres. "do his thing". Then he'll probably fly on down to San Antone and visit his muslim brother who is responsible for all this.

Well....in my mind the one who started it already visited.

If Bush has stayed true to the course, we'd never invaded Iraq, those kids would have not been in that bldg getting ready to go Iraq.

No matter....all the BIG BOYS needs to stay outta there and let those people deal with what they need to.

They don't need all the attention and hoopla that goes with any Presidental ( past or present) visit.

Hasan was being deployed to Afghanistan (the Just war)

Retired Col. Terry Lee told Fox News said Hasan had hoped President Barack Obama would pull troops out of Afghanistan and Iraq and got into frequent arguments with others in the military who supported the wars.

But another neighbor said Hasan appeared to be OK with his pending deployment, which he said was supposed to be to Afghanistan.

“I asked him how he felt about going over there, with their religion and everything, and he said, ‘It’s going to be interesting,’ ” said Edgar Booker, a 58-year-old retired soldier who now works in a cafeteria on the post.

An Army spokeswoman said Hasan had been scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan to counsel soldiers suffering from combat stress. Col. Cathy Abbott said Hasan was to deploy with an Army Reserve unit that provides what the military calls “behavioral health” counseling.

Yes...the one barracko said was "his". No one will ever agree on everything but I for one am glad we invaded Iraq. Now baracko needs to get serious and make a decision. Someone said the other day it took him four month trying to decide on a dog for the kids and Kennedy finally gave him one. Maybe he's waiting for someone to bail him out on this too.
