My guess is that Jesus wouldn't approve of Mark Muller giving away AK-47s.

I think Jesus would probably be more of an American-made AR-15 man.

After all, the AK-47 was developed in a communist country, and we all know that Jesus hates socialists and everything they create.

Jesus said, "Give to the poor."

The socialist says, "We tax you so we can give it to the poor."

The one is voluntary giving, the laying down ones life (in the form of labor and money). The other is being taxed - that is the money is forcefully taken

Exactly.

And that is why he invented capitalism.

A divinely-inspired system that allows the successful and hardworking to amass huge fortunes and then sprinkle the indolent poor with a few dollars.

I just can't understand why the savior himself messed around with carpentry and hanging out with derelicts. There certainly wasn't a fortune to be had doing that.

Wouldn't he have set a better example by building a few more houses and investing in some hot stocks?

Considering the fact that those nasty greedy capitalists tend to donate a higher portion of their income to charity than those big-hearted socialists, I think we’ve found something that we can finally agree on, Badaxe.

Does sacred scripture mention that Jesus ever drove a nail or sawed a board?? NOPE...only that his father was a carpenter. He also said "The poor you will have always". Did he ever tell the poor to "Take it if you want it even tho you've done nothing to deserve it"?? Nope....But he did offer salvation to all, "prepaid". Take it leave it. it's up to you.

And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
(Isaiah 65:21-23)

This is a good one!

2 Thessalonians 3:10:

10For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
