How can GOP attract more women?
Posted: 04:00 PM ET
FROM CNN’s Jack Cafferty:

And now for today’s installment of ‘The Republican Party is in deep trouble’… Among their many issues — turns out the GOP is really hurting when it comes to women voters. A new Gallup poll shows that among women, Democrats have a solid double-digit advantage in party identification over Republicans — 41 percent to 27 percent.

Compare that to men, who are pretty evenly divided — 30 percent identify as Democrats and 28 percent as Republicans.

The news is even worse for the GOP when you take into account independent women who lean Democratic… in that case the advantage is 57 percent to 35 percent for the Democrats.

Meanwhile the Republicans may want to take some advice from Colin Powell, who says they are in big trouble and need to find a way to move back to the center. The former Secretary of State says the party is “getting smaller and smaller,” which isn’t good for the country.

He says Republicans need to realize the country has changed, that Americans want to pay taxes for services and are looking for more government in their life.

Also, Powell is criticizing some party leaders for bowing too much to the right; and says right wing commentators like Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter don’t serve their party well. He says he doesn’t want Republicans to turn into Democrats, but instead to build a vibrant party.

Hint: that may be one way to get more women to support them.

When I cooked in that hunting camp last fall, every single man that came was not for Obama, but their wives were...almost without fail.

Crazy, huh?

Crazy, huh?

Palin and her anti womans rights, anti choice, anti birth control, anti birthcontrol education, anti gay, pro extremist fundamentalist/pentacostal religious agenda scared many away from McCains campaign...
I followed a lot of the posts on the Republicans for Obama site- and numerous new Obama supporters posting showed up after Palin being chosen as the pick-and echoed exactly those reasons...

Any good salesperson will market their product using the message that the buyer is more willing to accept.

Once they see how the product works, is when they will decide if they can trust that salesperson in the future!

Obama over promised and under delivered, there is only one way for satisfaction in the product to go!

If she's so bad for the Republican Party, why do Democrats pee down their legs every time her name is mentioned?

Colin Powell could do nothing as far a sec of state, Stand up for his boss, not no but hell NO. Then all of a sudden he's on the outside looking in And he has all the answers. He's supposedly a general in the army well LEAD darn it , don't stick your finger up to the wind and try to run fast enough to get in front of the biggest group and then declare yourself the leader.

You have no GRAVITAS as far as I can see, just another smart a** that wants someone to listen to him like the media and try to convince everyone bro Obama has the right stuff
