The sales for this years calf crop have been very good so far in our part of the world. As long as something silly doesn't happen I think everyone should get a decent check this fall. Here is what some of our customers have gotten so far this year privately or on video. These are all vaccinated and are Source & Age Tagged.
This week we placed a bull customers 2 loads of 510 lbs steers for Oct delivery at $1.30 and last week we placed 2 loads of customers steers and heifers for Oct. delivery of 685 lbs steers at $1.20 and 635 lbs heifers $6 back. Both of these ranches were from ND
A few weeks ago we placed a customers 335 steers that were weighing 590 lbs on Superior Livestock for Oct. delivery for $123.50/cwt. They are from Northern MT.
We placed another customers 288 head that weighed 575 lbs for $125.5/cwt that sold over Cattle Country Video. They are from western SD and it was also Oct. delivery.
A customer had a 95 head of steer calves that weighed 575 lbs and sold for $130.50.
Had a customer from Nevada sell a load of 610 lbs steers sold for $116.50, they are a long way from feedlots.
It is nice to see the optimism in our industry again.
