Well Ty was up in the slack on Saturday A'M in Cal;gary-he drew a horse Dan Mortenson was in the 80's on in Denver last year. He got sandbagged a bit when he sked what rein to take-a kid said he had her and she took short average but was more an X4 horse. He almost fumbled by her but she bucked him off at about six seconds. He drew this wild horse fit in the Benalto Pro Novice today and won second on him-not a fun bronc at all.

That's probably more to keep off the rain lol. Ty and I chased a funnel cloud about a half hour east of there the night before on our way up from Calgary. I figured if I charged it at least I'd know where it was headed-it touched down but didn't do much damage I guess.

WOW. That horse is really high in the sky. Great picture (again).
Looks like a great ride, too.

There's a lot of luck as well as talent involved with bronc riding.
You gotta get a good draw to really show what you can do.

Those young horses they used to put in some junior rodeos were way
more dangerous than a seasoned bucker.

Kinda like the feedlot bulls at little rodeos. I've seen em' fall down, fight wicked in the chute, just freeze up and even was aboard one when he attempted to jump a 6 foot pipe fence. He hit about his sheath and teetered for half a second before tipping back into the arena. He landed on his side and then got back up and commenced to bucking. Folks watching said it was western but I was busy rolling a smoke and didnt notice!
