I took these at about 4:00 pm today, the temperature had dropped from -23C at 2:00 to -30C. It is now 5:50 here and -36C.

Several photos of our weaned calves, they are starting to look better now that they have stopped trying to die.

Calves look good gcreek. We are expecting a warm up this week. That will most likely mean you will get more snow.

Boy,there are some pretty fine looking red cattle in that pen gcreek! You're gonna have some fine looking replacements to turn out with the bulls. Thanks for sharing and stay warm.
I see the thermometer has headed way south of 40 below already tonight. I'm looking forward to friday when it is supposed to be nearly 100F warmer :D

Looked like a nice day despite the cold.

It is what my Mom calls healthy weather.

We didn't have much breeze today but it didn't take much. Worked up a sweat splitting some wood for the daughter house. One cutting , one splitting and one stacking. Went pretty fast but so does the wood pile in these temps. :?

Those calves are soggy and haired up nicely. Bet they'd have to be with temps like what ya'll go through. The quote about the bride's dress cracked me up!      Stay warm and safe!

your cattle seem to be handling the cold in good shape. i have to agree with Mrs H about your fences, neat looking for sure. are those some of your giant marshmellows in the one pic or just snow on the stack?

all is looking good my friend, thanks for the pictures :D

What a beautiful area you live, in those trees are so majestic. Cattle look like they are "weathering the weather well" . I have to agree as well, love the fence, not only is it functional but very nice looking as well. :)

Yanuck, we are supposed to be chinooking here soon too ,, fingers crossed.
