Ummmmmm, I'm thinking....because its a good place and way to raise your kids, if you lived in town your neighbors could see what you're doing all the time... your husband wouldn't like it and when they're not happy noone's happy  hot tubs are over rated?? yeah okay that one was a stretch! I should give you my sister in laws phone number she's originally from Calgary... they got married in 1981 and she's still waiting for ''it'll get better next year" to get here!!! Hope you get it all fixed soon!

I feel for you!! Many years ago the hubby and neighbor kid were trying to solve a sewer problem here. After it was all said and done they had sewage dripping from my bathroom walls and ceiling and the neighbor kid was dripping wet with the sewage. They never will do whatever they tried again!! Good luck, I hope the problem gets solved prompto.

Yep sewers, pumps, and wells are one of the drawbacks of living in the boonies- and I've had plenty of experience with all over the past 50+ years- but much prefer that to the alternative of town living...One thing I haven't had since I put the new sewer into the house 30 years ago- and made them put it 2 feet deeper than they wanted to- is a froze up sewer....

Mrs. G---I should be cussing a Canuck tonite for the cold they're sending down- but I'll be nice since I guess we are only getting a glancing blow- and the Dakotans, Minnesotans, Nebraskans are getting it most this time....
Temp is 6 Above but the wind is bitter - about 15 below wind chill..Supposed to get down to 0 with 25-30 below wind chill tonite...
My son said it was 23 Below when he came threw White Earth ND this morning- with the radio saying 35 below windchill....

You do realize that out houses do not back up into basements.... :) .Maybe you are living to much like a city slicker with all that fancy pluming you have there. :) ...If it backs up again you can always hand Greg a shovel and get him started on a new long drop model...... ....I hear they can get chilly in the winter but I am sure waiting time is cut down considerably during the winter month.. :) .....

That reminds me,I need to get out to the hot tub so I can call and make an appointment to get my brakes done tomorrow....I guess i will have to put my drink down first so i can dial...lol....

We live in the suburbs (you'd call it the city) and we also have the "advantage" of a well and sewer which has backed up into the house (just last Fall) so from this urban viewpoint- my biggest condolences! The only good result was we got to throw out some things that were stored in the basement AND the whole area got a good cleaning (by us). It also made me especially thankful I did not become a plumber even though his bill was close to $1000.
