Can Weiner rise again?

In our analysis of whether former Rep. Anthony Weiner would have a real chance at being elected mayor of New York City this fall — roughly two years after resigning from office amid a Twitter scandal — one well connected Democrat suggested that perhaps his biggest hurdle would be the city’s tabloid newspapers.

That proved to be a prescient point. Look no further than the front page of today’s New York Post. Regardless of whether you think these sorts of headlines are below the belt (ahem), the reality is that there are many more where this came from if Weiner ultimately decides to run.

The question for Weiner is whether this is the sort of treatment he (and his family) can endure every day (or close to it) between now and November. And the question for voters is whether they can put aside Weiner’s past transgressions if they are being reminded of it daily on the front pages of New York’s tabloids.

He is a Democrat so the fact he is running is no big surprise and if he wins it will also be no big surprise. The Dems are the party of NO MORALS. Look at what the Kennedys got away with? Look at what Bill Clinton got away with? Weiner should be a hero to all those that vote for that party.

Remember these people vote for people like Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Diane Feinstein, Nancy Pelosi, Sheila Jackson Lee, Barney Franks, the Kennedy clan, Clintons, Joe Biden, OBAMA and the list goes on and on and OOONNN

As it relates to this whole affair, I'm wondering if Weiner will enter, only to pull out prematurely.

Well let's hope he is at least smart enough to collect all the evidence and dispose of it.

Not really sure if it's true, but I've heard rumors that Weiner was a ghost writer for Paula Broadwell's book, All In.

with his track record, it's probably a 3D pictorial pop up book.

I guess he thought it was time again, to get some skin in the game.

I'd imagine the average voter would be hard on the guy, but we're talking about New York here. I can see them letting him slide.

but wasn't Fred a Republican? I didn't think Repubs had Gay candidates, due to their "intolerance".

Even though Weiner was sacked previousily, for the boner he pulled, he should stand tall, show some balls and come up for re-erection again.

Even if he lost, deep in his heart he would still know he was a Weiner.

New York election campaigns are long, hard affairs. They've been known to suck the energy out of candidates, cutting former fountains of energy to a mere drip.

If Weiner does try to erect a campaign for the mayor's office, I hope he and his wife, Huma Weiner, take some time off together beforehand.

Perhaps a second honeymoon would be in order. Might I suggest Viagra Falls?

You guys should be sending all your Weiner material to the writers of late night TV not that I think they would use it but they should see some good material when it comes to the Left once and awhile.
