"We did not vote to change the Republic,we voted to change Washington. We wanted the lies, corruption and childish "but they started it" games to end. Instead we now see that things have only gotten worse and that the "change" the political elite think we wanted was the transition to a system based on entitlements and handouts. It is insult upon injury and a testament to just how out of touch with the common man our two parties have become."

the silence is a bit deafening....now does this fall under the category of by not saying anything means you agree with it? I can never remember that rule for sure and who it applies to

"Terrorism isn't caused by poverty, poverty is caused by terrorism. Terror is a tool used by those seeking power to keep the masses in need of an answer."

It makes me think of that song that goes, "Sielnce is golden, golden...." when you consider some of the folks in this forum.

"out of touch" in that statement sums it all up.

The truth hurts maybe? Did Obama "Spread the wealth"???

They are lined up for school supply hand outs on television. Long lines of folks talking on cell phones or text messaging. They all talk about how hard times are and their basic needs. They never speak of who pays for their cell phones. No money for food or school supplies but they can always afford those cell phones. Maybe they are texting and talking to the folks in front of the line to find out if it is worth it to wait their turns.

Well it is a pretty well guarantee that the left will not come and say they agree when they now know who wrote the statement.

so does that mean they disagree with the statement?

They did vote to change the Republic, they don't want the lies and corruption to end.

Maybe they habitually just attack the messenger. No, not maybe, they do.

What that means is to get their true thoughts it might have been best to leave who wrote it out of the picture like BMR tried when he say what does it matter. . We all know that the left will not agree with "Beck" even though they might have agreed with the comment. By telling them who wrote it gave them an excuse to not answer.

I'm not so sure they would have answered anyway. Seems like a Patriotic type statement, they would have found something wrong with it. Most likely the entitlements part. They seem to think that the state should take care of people.

and they seem to think the "elite" know what is best for everyone else.

Funny Glenn himself did this same kind of test. He sent out a guy from his show, to a very elite liberal part of New York City, he was told not to tell anyone who had written the statements he was to read to them from Glenn's book, so the guy didn't. Most if not all of the comments he read they agreed with UNTIL it was revealed who wrote the book. Then it was shock and dismay on their faces. They could not believe they had actually agreed with something Glenn Beck the villan from Conservative Talk Radio and FOX had written. He proved to them (and his viewers) that it is not his message they disagreed with it was who is delivering the message. Why because the left elite attack and discredited anyone that says one word about their agenda no matter if the word is the truth and needs to be said. Ask yourself if the guy sent out by Glenn would have said I'm going to read something to you from a book Glenn Beck wrote do you think anyone of the New York Elite Left would have stuck around to give an honest opinion? NO they would have walked away with the same demeaning attitude towards Glenn. By not telling them who wrote it, the guy got them to listen and agree. When they agreed and were then told, it openned their eyes to maybe what the guy is saying should be listen to and not ignore like some would have them do.

I had the same problem the other night. I was visiting with two ladies the other night and as soon as I told them something I had heard on FOX and read about on the internet, they rolled their eyes and said there is your problem. In their minds anything coming from either FOX or the Internet couldn't be trusted. Since they hadn't heard it on CNN or NBC and it went against their left leaning beliefs they were not going to believe a word of it.

When I came home I emailed them articles from CNN ONLINE and MSNBC Online that supported what I had heard on the FOX Network. You see I never told them that the internet sites online were from CNN or MSNBC. But hey if they don't believe what is on the internet then should they believe their ears when they hear it on the TV from the same people. I hope I taught them a lesson but I doubt it as they are Democrats through and through.
