That's a great way to be, Jinglebob. I usually try to give people three chances before I write them off as not worth my time.

I just don't have time for high maintenance friendships either. Our Texas friend that was just here, we don't talk or email too much. He's busy, we are busy, but when we get together it is just like we had seen each other the day before. If we need something we know he is there and vice-versa. That's the kind of people who are dear to me.

Gosh, Kurt and Goldie, that's disappointing. I kind of held them a bit higher than that. I know they do lots of good things for people and I guess I was proud of them for staying married as long as they have. Ole Kurt is kinda showing his age these days, don't you think? But he's been around a long time. I always enjoy his movies. Guess I'll have to give them their other two chances...

Well I didnt get the opportunity to meet either one of them, and if givin the chance to I'd be happy to give them a chance to make a good impression. It's just sad that that's the impression that whole lil town got of them, and that they would rather NOT have a movie set in their town again. I've enjoyed Kirk Russell movies from way back in childhood when he was doin the disney movies. And I've always thought Goldie Hawn was hilarious. So yeah, I'd give em a shot to prove they aren't like what the rumors say.

There's a commercial that comes on tv now, don't remember what it's advertisin, but it's two cave men sittin in a really nice resturant, and I swear one of em looks just like Val Kilmer.

I've never ment Ian Tyson but I have a cd of his and enjoy it. His promoter called me about being a ticket outlet for a concert he was going to do in Rapid City, SD and wanted to know how interested I was in selling tickets out of my store. I asked how much they were so I could decide how many I needed to have sent and he told $50 for a ticket in a small movie theater (Elks Theater). I kinda got stunned and told him not to send more than a few and I figure my stunned voice at the price must have stated it all because I never became an outlet and never heard from him again. I don't think he ever did the concert. I can honestly say the guy promoting that concert here left plenty to be desired. I wouldn't mind meeting Ian to gain a personal experience opinion though!

We have heard the same about Ian Tyson, and from more than one person. Like Jersey Lilly said, when you hear it time and time again, there usually is something to what is being said.

We have tapes of him from years ago and really liked them. They don't get played much anymore because my husband, especially, can't stand agrrogance in anyone. Ever.

FH,

Do you think he was like that due to the way the BSE border problems were handled?
Yes he was a jerk long before the BSE.First time we saw him was at a Ivan Daines country music pic nic,22 years ago that was my first taste of his personality and let me tell you it wasn't good...too bad because his music sure doesn't reflect it.

She said that Sam Sheperd came to the local team ropings and roped and was a great guy, but that Val was a whiney stuck on himself, little brat.

I've heard the same about Val Kilmer. :p
