A Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canucks on their Holiday weekend!!
:tiphat:  :drink:
On January 31, 1957, the Canadian Parliament proclaimed:

“ A Day of General Thanksgiving to Almighty God for the bountiful harvest with which Canada has been blessed … to be observed on the 2nd Monday in October. ”

Thanks, OT!!!
I have to wonder today, just 50 years later, how many politicians would actually have the cajones to use the words "Almighty God" without fear of a protest of some sort.
Anyway, we are celebrating today. Bird is in the oven, beer is on ice and the chores are done. # 1 son is away working so he will miss out......sucks to be him!!! :D

I love Thanksgiving, its just about family and giving Thanks for what we have.I started a tradition when my kids were little,we go around the table saying things we're Thankful for,we can do this numerous times, often throughout the whole dinner,by the end its things like I'm thankful I didn't have to eat the Sweet potatoes,we get really laughing at the crazy things some will say.

The turkeys out, buns and salads are done, pumkin and apple pies are in oven, alls pretty well ready for tommorow.

I'm Thankful for ranchers.net and the great people on it :)

On behalf of those passed out from eating too much turkey, Thanks. :D

We had a quiet Thanksgiving this year, mainly due to being tired from going out late last night to watch number 2 son perform at a charity band concert as a pinch hitter guitar player in a friend's band. He was in a band for a few years during and after high school, and it was so good to get to go to another 'gig', after a couple of years away from it. 8)

Good times at the North Forty! And lots of money raised for cancer research as well. We've got a lot to be thankful for.
