Caskets on TV

For the first time in about 20 yrs caskets are now shown returning home.

I think if the family approves of it....it's good for us, Americans, to see the actual price of war.

If the family does not wish the press to see, their caskets are taken off first and the media is not present.

It's good they give them the choice.

If you want to see the cost of war, go to Arrlington or Normandy! It will change you. I am glad that they will show folks a tiny part of the sacrifice that takes place for the amazing warriors who walk the walls day and night so we all can rest easy. But I am also concerned that lots of liberals in the media will use it as exploitation to end the fight against terror. Just remember that EVERY FALLEN SOILDER VOLUNTEERED TO BE OUR GAURDIANS! Thank you to all veterans and soilders serving everywhere!

Are you really that shallow of a person that you can only appreciate the sacrafice that our Soldiers make in giving their lives if you see a Circus event by the media who rates right under use car salesmen and lawyers on the food chain?

Any smart person knows people die in war and they do not need to see a TV spectacle with a bunch of loons deciding how to cover it to understand the price of war!

Guess when you go shopping you have to use cash only because you are not smart enough to figure out the actual price if you use a check?

For all those wanting to know the cost of war, go to a VA Hospital. Don't just go, stay and visit, go back often and just listen. Then and just then you might get a small grasp of war, our Vets, The United States of America and the principles it was founded on and then just maybe if you listened real good you just maybe can start to understand. A casket coming off a plane is only symbol of the lefts agenda. Show them if you want but you are not getting a true picture of sacrifice only synbolism.

Back to the topic! I understand that we are bringing soldiers home in coffins. But that is the price it takes to stand up to terror and evil. Look up the numbers of casualties for D-Day, Iwo jima, Battle of the bulge or Pearl Harbor. We have 120,000 plus in harms way and under 5000 have been killed. War is horrible and deadly and it would be great if there was a different solution. But you have to deal with radicals and not bury your head in the sand. Hilter was evil and the greatest generation dealt with him at a horrific cost. Japan sucker punched the U.S. and we beat back their aggression by losing tens of thousands of lives. And we are confronting terror today at the cost of great young people. It is harsh! It is painful! And it is neccesary! Ask most any soldier if he's proud of his duty. I sure am proud of all of them! :D

If everyone wants to know the cost of war, just wait till some body, some one , some country, decides we are too worried about the cost and will not think twice about a dirty bomb in say New York, Washington, or maybe Hamilton, Texas, Ohio, California. You just think Iraq was expensive, the cost to A] clean up the mess, B] the blow to the economy for say 30 years till maybe the fire ants might decide to go back, & C[ FINALLY TAKING CARE OF THE SOB'S THAT STARTED THIS CRAP!!! If your grandkids living under a cloud, afraid to go to town for fear of some attack for maybe the next 50 years. NOW tell me how expensive it is
