I bought a cattle truck yesterday. It belonged to my Late Uncle Ron and I bought it from my Aunt Ann. It's an old Bobtail with a dump bed. We went out to the ranch today to look it over. Poured in some brake fluid, checked the oil which was fine and the water which was great too. The battery was dead but to be expected when a truck sits for two years. Jumped it with my pickup and it fired right up! So we brought her home........almost! Two miles from the house lost the right front thanks to gravel roads on this desert. Got it jacked up and the tire off before dark. Hoping to get her home tomorrow. I'll post pictures when we find our camera or buy a new one. I know it's just an old truck, but I am very proud to own it. The man who owned it before me was as fine a man as you'll ever meet. I'd like to think he approves his nephew driving it. As I followed my wife home over the mountain, I kept getting stuff in my eyes. Had to keep looking at the passenger seat cause I sure didnt feel alone. Kinda proud of an old truck and wanted to share with ya'll.
