Wondering if any of you have attended a Cattlemen's Bootcamp put on by the American Angus Association? My wife and I went to Logan, Utah for a day and a half on last Friday and Saturday. It was really a great conference and we felt it was very much worth the money and time. Issues discussed were reproductive health in your herd, carcuss grading and improvement, mineral needs for our area, EPDs and index values and how to use them, Nutrition in general and several other good courses. They also had a couple courses explaining some Angus programs like CAB, ect. All in all it was a very helpful conference and i'd recommend it to you if it comes to your area. Our instructors were from Utah State University, University of Wyoming, Purdue, and Nevada as well as the regional area director of the angus association and a CAB bigwig. Nothing like looking a cattle and then seeing them with the hide off. Anyway, wanted to pass along our experience. :D

How did anyone manage to teach you anything? :P

Sounds like you had good time, glad you were able to go. This province is pretty slack on Ag anything.

I did spend a lot of the time sitting in a corner thinking about what i had done. :???:
