We've touched a bit here on the excesses in CEO paychecks......but where does the problem lie, and who can fix it?
What would our goverment become if they were to somehow limit these salaries and perks?
I think the real problems lies with the public and the shareholders for being complacent.
I know everytime I get a proxy vote in the mail, I don't go out of my way to investigate who and what we're voting on, mostly leaving the decision to the rest of the voters in the pool.
This problem of CEO's skimming off the top can be fixed, but it will take some outrage by the public. Not governemnt intervention.
