Chars in Canada

Pleasant Dawn Charolais sale was on Monday Top bull was 5700 averaged around 3000.Was told bulls looked good, most were around 1500 to 1600 lbs.

Ok I thought maybe the posters to this post could help answer my question. We raise black angus cattle, however my daughter developed this love of charlaios cattle and has for the past two years had them for heifers. Her calves are huge and if we are breeding for weight why don't more angus breeders cross to the chars? I realize if you are raising replacement heifers and don't want to crossbreed this won't be an option but if just raising and selling pounds why don't we see more of this?

Goes on all over. See it everywhere.

Big thing down here is Brangus X Chars. Red and Black ones. Red ones don't have the rattails from the black gene.
