 WOW OT!! You know of secret organizations with the Packers!!! WOW!!! You are so smart and know soooooo much....sooooooo....give me a couple names of the "secret organizations" and I will be sure to research it :!: :!: :!:
Well their latest backdooring name was posted on here earlier--Its got some huge long name- maybe Sandhusker or one of them guys can remember it...Anyway- after the NCBA and Packers came to an agreement with the Congressmen on a M-COOL law in the Farm Bill- and all promised they would not fight or oppose it as written-- NCBA again joined with the Packers and went behind the backs of everybody and formed this fancy named group to try and kill/change M-COOL--- which like I said- really doesn't suprise me because their word has been worthless for a long time in my view.......
Fine and dandy, OT. I don't attend this Bull session very often, do you think you could find this fancy group's name for me? I will be happy to make a few phone calls :!:
There is the group Hanta- the Meat and Poultry Coaltition...This came after the groups and Congressmen all met- came up with a consensus agreement that all the groups agreed to honor regarding M-COOL- and then to get around their (word  :???: ) NCBA joined in with this packer outfit to lobby against it...
A person expects these type actions from the Multinational Packer Mafia types- but not from whats supposed to be a cattlemans group...But from years of experience, I know NCBA long ago sold their souls- and forgot any bit of "the Code of the West"...

Now Hanta- you prove to me that NCBA money, out of one of their 100 different slush funds, is not going into this coalition and that NCBA leadership isn't part of it......

NCBA Partners with Packers Yet Again to Oppose
Market Reforms That Would Benefit Independent Producers
Washington, D.C. Its dÃjà vu all over again. In July, the National Cattlemens Beef Association (NCBA) teamed up with the multinational meatpackers in an effort to derail country-of-origin labeling (COOL), although at that time, NCBA chose not to disclose that it was a member of the Meat and Poultry Promotion Coalition (coalition), which was formed by the nations largest meatpackers and their trade associations to defeat producer-oriented reforms.
Just this week in a letter to Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, who chairs the Senate Agriculture Committee, this coalition encouraged him to withdraw his proposals for competition reform in the livestock marketplace and to drop any plans to include a Livestock Title in the 2007 Farm Bill.
Its no secret that NCBA has long been part of the packer lobby, said R-CALF USA President/Region VI Director Max Thornsberry, a Missouri veterinarian. But no matter how NCBA tries to spin it, this is the group that tried for years to repeal COOL, and also tried to prevent meaningful market reforms that not only would benefit producers, but also the rural communities in which they live.
Now, by officially joining this meatpacker lobby and signing on to this letter, there can be no doubt in anyones mind that NCBA is working against the interests of independent livestock producers, he emphasized.
Other members of the Meat and Poultry Promotion Coalition include Tyson Foods, Swift & Co., Cargill, U.S. Premium Beef, National Beef, Smithfield Foods, Hormel Foods, Hatfield Quality Meats, Christensen Farms, the American Meat Institute, the National Meat Association, the National Pork Producers Council, the National Chicken Council, National Turkey Federation, and the American Foods Group.
From AMI's website:
Coalition member sponsors include the American Meat Institute, National Chicken Council, National Cattlemen's Beef Association, National Meat Association, National Milk Producers Federation, National Pork Producers Council, National Turkey Federation and United Egg Producers.
