We went for a late afternoon pasture check today and came away feeling quite blessed having more grass in September than we could remember. Mrs. RBT

Wow, what beautiful cattle! I bet it feels good to have so much more grass than normal available.

I just spoke to the guys at my place and still no rain. I've got more pasture (and other things) I need to plant but just can't do it unless we get some moisture.

2007 was excellent for rainfall, last year not so good, this year stinks so far.

Thanks for the pics.

Great pics, cattle and grass. That's wonderful to see this late in the year. Just curious, what's the blue tub the calves are licking at the water hole? Loose mineral in there or some other product?
We feed a high phos mineral mixed with salt at a 1 to 2 ratio. I think with all the rain this year our grass is a little washy and it seems like they are eating a little more salt and mineral than usual. Thank you everyone for all the compliments. Ranching is a whole lot easier with a little rain once in a while! RBT

its amazing what i little moisture will do :D county, cows, and calves all look to be in pretty good shape. thanks for showing :D

You just can't beat those good old EXT females. Everything looks REALLY good! Are you guys getting to have alot of grasshoppers down there, too?
