I guess I missed that news about the Vice-President's Energy Task Force planning the war and then taking it over. Do you have a link? I sure would like to read up on that.

I think that when playing connect the dots, you have to actually connect the dots in order to see the picture. Even my 7 year old knows that.
No link, huh?

The light of day is the best disinfectant. This administration has to be pushed into any transparency and many time isn't give then-- note the Justice Dept. not answering the oversight committee in the Senate.

Texan, you may wish to have a fascist government, but I don't. That is exactly where Bush et al is taking us.

The sooner we get rid of Bush and the rest of the crew that are destroying our democracy, the better--as long as we don't replace them with someone worse.

Texan I have dial up and its timing out on me so I can't open the link .... go about third of the way down on the page

http://tvnewslies.org/html/cheney_s_secrets.html

U.S. ENERGY POLICIES UNDER BUSH & CHENEY
and then the article about an inch below it.... maybe that will have something to which you are referring to. Not sure though.
Did I say how much I love dial up?..... Not!
I finally agree with you on something, MoGal - dialup sucks.

Thanks for the links. That tvnewslies site is very interesting. Especially the part about Cheney being the architect of the 9/11 attacks... :???:

One of the things I always preached to the guys that worked for me-- don't always go with what appears obvious, or what someone tells you happened- stay open minded and look for other possibilities- and determine the weight of the" stories" by the facts provided and the credibility of those involved ...
That's EXACTLY what I'm trying to do here, OT. Looking for FACTS. That's why I asked for links.

Since it appears that none are to be provided, doesn't that tell us something about "the credibility of those involved"? The credibility of those that make accusations that they can't prove? I'm glad to see that you are as troubled by that as I am.

You are way too old to eat with a baby spoon, Texan. Perhaps you just require spoon feeding for fun? Do you wear a diaper too?

Hmmm...still no link?

Still begging for that spoon feeding? Perhaps you will wake up and see it for what it is. Maybe not.

Can't prove it, huh? That's about what I thought. And then when somebody calls you on it, you resort to the childish insulting that is so typical of you when you make a fool out of yourself.

One of these days you'll be faced with the prospect of growing up. Good luck. It appears that you will need a LOT of it.

Prove what? There is nothing that can be proven to a person who wishes to not change.

Here are the facts, regardless of whether anything gets proven to you:

Government had enough power to figure out everything about 911 before it happened and the evidence that was gathered was dismissed instead of followed up on. The twin towers had been attacked before, need any more warning they were a target than that?

We have had an illegal alien problem for some time, and many of the terrorists were here already breaking the law. The problem was we had no law enforcement.

The airplane threat of terrorism has been around a long, long, long time but there hasn't been enough political will to do common sense things like block the doors to the cockpit adequately. It took 911 to give politicians enough courage to act in this regard.

Cheny has had the most non transparent office of the VP in modern times. His energy policy (what is it anyway?) and meetings were not transparent when they were happening and caused a big stink at the time for the way they were conducted.

Energy companies have consolidated the industry and there is much, much less competition. Profits have increased to record amounts for those still in -- so much so that the past pres. of Exxon had an unearned gift of gratitude by the board of hundreds of millions of dollars.

We have not been working on energy independence-- just energy consumption for a long, long, time. Cafe standards have not been increased and our domestic auto companies are not competing with higher fuel efficient cars that the Japanese companies in the South are making.

Research into biofuels has just started to be funded adequately. Basic research should have started a long time ago.

Bush himself comes from an energy background.

We are in a war on the other side of the world because of oil, whether you want to admit it or not. Since the war, the price of crude has gone way, way up, almost double. Our oil (U.S.) companies are vying for the oil contracts in Iraq because we are there with our military.

The VP and P. used faulty intelligence to persuade the country to war. Their friends in the oil business have been making record billions.

I don't think you need just one link, Texan, I think you are missing a whole bunch of links.
