Was just reading the Great Falls Tribune-- they're not calling this storm an Alberta Clipper as usual- they said it was more like a Saskatchewan Screamer

What ever it was it must have made the geese think of warmer climates-- skies and stubble fields just full of them this morning...Making such a racket, my horses couldn't hardly hear me when I hollered at them to get them to come in...

Temp has made it up to 21 now at noon....

MR- Would you speak nicely to Shelly and Mrs. Greg and get them to shut off this wind :???:  Temp is a lot warmer today- 20 this morning, but that NW wind has the chill factor down around 0...Had to dig out the earflaps to put on under the old Resistol--Definitely had pink cheeks when I finished chores this morning...

They're predicting 40's by the weekend...I'm still waiting for El Nino to kick in, too.....

We've got the wind, too. Have had it for daaaaaayss! We're hoping it'll warm up a bit soon so we can clean corrals, no cab on the Bobcat for hubby. He and I have both been sick for the last week, I've got a nice warm tractor cab, but he doesn't need to be sitting out in the cold.

Some of the computer runs are predicting we could be in the mid 60's by Tuesday-- I gotta see that to believe it, tho......

The wind sure has a bite to it, just got in and have two legs that feel like tree stumps because I didn't put my insulated coveralls on. Spent most of the day chipping fertilizer out of a grain truck that has a leaky tarp that some jackass who shall remain nameless let sit out all summer through all the rains!

What a weather change-- Few days ago it was below zero and today it was 55-- supposed to be around 60 tomorrow....Snow melting fast :) :)

One of my neighbors that runs cows up the creek called at noon and said that when he gathered his cows he'd ended up with one of my yearling heifers- said while he was preconditioning this morning he'd cut her out and had her corraled and I could come with the trailer to pick her up....

By this afternoon I almost couldn't get pulled up to the corrals in 4 wheel drive-- snow melting and ground thawing had everything pretty slick - but I managed....Did pretty good until I was running down the chute behind the heifer to keep her going to load and didn't duck far enough under one of the crossbars across the chute  ...Jammed my head down and all my neck vertabrae together- saw stars for a few minutes-- probably shortended myself by two inches and I can't afford to get any shorter :(

OUCH, OT. I've had the same thing happen and it's never
something you enjoy. Besides that, don't get in a hurry to load
something. They'll get in sooner or later... After all, where
are they gonna go? They're surrounded on three sides by
water.

When did you get the snow?

It was 62 here today and absolutely beautiful. Supposed to be
nice tomorrow too and on into next week. Gonna cool off to the
40's but we can handle that.

Yeah I know- I was just trying to stay on her tail before she got turned around in the trailer and decided to stampede back out over the top of me  Good thing she's a quiet heifer...The others I have brought down already, beat the horses to the corral in the morning when I yell for the horses- they still remember getting a little grain and cake last winter :)

Our snow came a week or so ago with that storm- when you said you had only a skiff- we ended up with 3-4" with some 2 foot drifts in the low spots and barrow pits....Left fast today....
