Beautiful day today- temp around 60, sunshine and light Chinook winds- spent the day cleaning out another pasture and hauling the partnership cows down and putting on my west hayfields...
BUT
tomorrow night they say there is an arctic front moving in which could take temps down into the single digits with 20-30 mph winds and snow- up to 4 to 6"....Not supposed to warm up until the weekend again...Good old prairie weather
I really wish this would hold off for a few more days- a lot of folks trying to gather and ship- most the grazing association cattle go off this week- and a lot of the BLM pastured cows---- and if we do get another blizzard it will just make more of a wreck for mixed up and lost cattle...The last one already has cows spread out everywhere..This pasture should have had 128 head- we found 118- but luckily only 1 orphan calf, as I expected more...Hard telling how far south the rest went...
