Next to Rocky Mountain oysters, tongue is the tenderest, tastiest part of a beef.....

You've missed out-- you've never truly dined until you have a cold tongue sandwich, couple hardboiled eggs, and can of peaches you've packed in your pocket all morning for lunch

Chicken and turkey gizzards are good...Have you ever ate at one of those old German houses where they leave the feet on the chicken when they cook them?...That took me back awhile...

Not a big fan of variety meats.. Have had frog legs, snails and gator and a few other things from time to time but never tongue, liver, kidney or rocky mountain oysters. No thanks... I just don't think they would last very long in my stomache, although they might taste bette coming up than going down.

My favourite lunch-2 pickled eggs, ham sandwich and a ham sandwich. Another good one is a pair of burgers burger cut up with hashbrowns and cheese on it, all warm. lol.

Prarie Oysters are a favourite here, Tongue is pretty good, kinda like the roasts, but have you ever had pickeld pig shout? :? :???: :gag:

We were at a PAC Cattlemens dinner at the Harris Ranch when V_Key said "Dad this is good chicken" - I had to tell her "This is a Cattlemens Dinner - Thats not Chicken - It's Mt Oysters"
Driving home the next day came the Question
"Dad, what are Mt Oysters"!
Well their GOOD!

Rattle Snake taste a lot like Mt Oysters :!:

You haven't lived until you've had Turtle Soup with the Eyes Floating in it.

How about deep fried Leachies (Milk Gland) "Good"

If you boil a cured tongue it tastes like ham except very tender. Really good eating with a raisin/brown sugar sauce. I'll admit though the thing looks disgusting while boiling :| it's those taste buds looking up at ya

I've had rattlesnake, and it don't taste like mountain oysters or chicken. And Thank You but no I won't be eatin it again. It wasn't all that bad but it was really greasy, and I didnt like that part of it.

I'd much prefer a chicken liver or turkey liver over a gizzard any day....gizzards remind me of them lil rubber jack balls we played with in elementary school. The longer you chew the bigger they get. That's the puppies piece of the chicken or turkey when I cook.

Aint had no cow tongue as of yet, but I'd try it. Just don't know anyone that has ever cooked one.
